A couple years ago, Elbert County filled the cracks on North Pines and then pulled off.  The West side settled and although better than it was, is not as good as the 2nd half where they  added aggregate.

Earlier this year the county used road base as the shoulders of our roads were falling away.  I had hoped the gravel would have been cleared off by now but the rains and hail did not help.

On Monday Elbert County started at the monument of Sky Rim repairing our roads.  The mastic machine that fills the cracks broke and they had to pull off.   Monty Hankins, the Elbert County Public Works Director just advised they will be back Tuesday October 6th to complete all of Skyrim including the cul-de-sacs.

This type of work can only be done in the spring and the fall.  Too cold and it does not stick and too hot and it subsides.  With the crack filling, it is possible tar could get on your vehicle.  Please drive slow around the county road team to respect their safety and avoid the materials getting on your vehicles.
